The body belongs to a specific person, it is unique and inimitable. Instead, the photo has the ability to depersonalize it, the body becomes anonymous, and a greedy look passes it to anyone. This technique is identical to shooting for glossy and fashion magazines, where the model’s personality fades against the background of the objectification of her body, which becomes a tool of PR, sales or advertising. The body should attract attention, attract both women and men, be attractive. And if before women were objectified by the male gaze, today this lustful gaze is also feminine: the devouring gaze no longer has sex, the body acquires signs of self-promotion.
